Tony
Don't go too cheap. The two original Sunspot Stealths are obvious and the cheapy from Amazon is also obvious. I now need a new lightweight dry/wet sand beach scoop (preferably in 316 SS) but a size up from the one I destroyed..... 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26624-which-sand-scoop-should-i-get/page/3/#findComment-281417 Share on other sites
kac
If your hunting regular beaches and surf the perforated scoops are fine but if you also plan on hunting in gravel beds, rivers, streams etc and do beach combing then the basket scoops might be a better choice. I use one from Boarderline Engineering out of FL. It is plenty strong in the gravel here where other scoops will bend. It is also a little on the heavy side which works out well in the currents. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26624-which-sand-scoop-should-i-get/page/3/#findComment-281437 Share on other sites
