First Relic Hunt Brings Gold Moral Test #2

You're certainly in the gold club!  Great job finding it. I hope you get the rest of the chain, but that will be tough. You did the right thing by giving it to him. It belongs there to be passed down to the next in line. I bet he never tells you NO, you can't hunt here anymore 😅

Well done soldier!

And welcome too and being an honorary member of the GCC!

You have certainly paid your dues sir and yes I would have loved to have seen the look on the mans face for sure.

On a side note if the Deus 2 only had the Relic program and no others I would be happy with it.

Great story Bob😊and congrats.

Doc.

Very good day for ya and even better for the owner of that coin! You might not have made it in the GCC if the drop was less than week lol.

One thing you can do is make 2 identical programs and back them to back, one in 40khz, one in 14khz and you can cross check targets by how much id can shift. Aluminum will shift left vs say nickel that can drop 5 points or so from 40 to 14.

Make sure you turn off auto frequency scan so the change toggling between programs is instant.

Another fantastic hunt for you, and glad that you were able to return the lost coin.

Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.

Let the permission know that there is only one free gold coin in the deal.

Thanks! 😅 I wasn't sure if I qualified because it was something I was looking for, and I didn't feel I should keep it. It's fortunate the coin survived the hit, I wish I had taken a photo of the bezel but everything happened so fast, and now I know what it is like to find one.

Knowing the landowner as I do, I wasn't sure he truly trusted me. His story is really interesting as is the place, and I have a lot of respect for him so I can't tell it.  There is something else I will have to look for now, part of the expanded permission.

Thanks Doc,

67 acres is a lot of land, over the last two years I got differing accounts as to where the coin was lost, so I really never thought I'd find it. This also vindicates the person who lost it, it's probably been a sore spot between them. Sadly the other coin was stolen, there were two coins originally.

I hope I do find one for my collection now, over the summer I got a few more permissions that have possibilities. I've been over this place many times by myself and with another person, sad to say there really isn't much left to find. All the real hotspots have been searched thoroughly, so now what is left is random.

Relic is a really accurate program when tweaked a bit, maybe the stock form is just fine but I'm satisfied with my adjustments.

I've found only 2 settings might need changing on the fly with either program I use - Audio Response for EMI and Reactivity for areas with a lot of targets. I probably could have used my Beach program which seems less sensitive to interference and I might have dug less trash, but it didn't seem right.
