Nice work 350! You’re maxed out now with good Karma now so I suspect your relic season will be full of good finds.  You should have complete trust from that owner now…and don’t mind what Tom says he’s a good old boy I’ve met him once…He was just giving his opinion…and you did ask the question 🙂

Thanks strick,

I'm hoping the new permissions I got over the summer will have some promise, I'm still waiting for the bean harvest and some of the corn. It's been a tough year weather wise, from drought to heavy rain. I'm fortunate to only have to deal with the remnants of Helene.

I'm glad I found the coin and returned it, it was always in the back of my mind that the longer it took and the more visits and relics I found there might create some suspicion that I had found it and was not honest. 😅 That is the weight and risk of obligation. All my other permissions have none.

I hope my posts inspire others to get out there and endeavor to keep the hobby from being further regulated. Yeah it's fun to brag about finds, but it's more important to show the possibilities and pitfalls - lead by example. 🙂 Being the king of the hill is not even a thought.

You're right, I did ask, and got my answers from respected people. I'll leave it at that. 🤔

Gold is gold in my book.  We all hope to find one, but you did!  If anything, it’s probably more special because it wasn’t just a lump of metal to be put in a protective sleeve - it was someone else’s lost heirloom.

Job well done!

Thanks!

I hope more of y'all find one, and don't incur obligation with it. The story here is far larger than discretion allows me to tell, if I outlive this country gentleman (yeah right) it would be a fitting epitaph. His rewards for his deeds outweigh mine by any standard. 🍀
