GC, Would the stock 11'' be deeper than the NF 12x7 by a little anyway, also I hear the NF 12x7 runs quiet perhaps in my thinking giving one an advantage on soft signals or am I off base here?

I surely don't know what I don't know about this as I only get out west one time a year, that's just one reason I love the forum for the valuable insight from y'all.  Best of Luck in your adventure's.

Hi s.y, there is nothing principally wrong with the stock 11" and it is a fairly sensitive coil (albeit some expressed concerns about the durability). The NF12x7 runs a bit more stable and overall gives a more rounded profile IMO. But it is a bit less sensitive at the outer edge for about 0.3 inch from the rim, so this is where the 11" has a slight advantage. But for me personally the NF is still my preferred choice. WRT to depth, I don't really see much difference, taking under consideration though the different coil shapes (round vs elliptic) that somewhat impacts the geometry of the signal coverage underground (slightly different cone-shapes). BTW, I also have the Coiltek 9 round which is an excellent coil too, albeit perhaps more focused on shallower gold due to the smaller size. But both NF and Coiltek make excellent coils for the 6000.

Hope this helps and good luck to you too.

The coiltek 10 x 5 Goldhawk is the best IMO for the tiny to not so tiny bits, & at reasonable depth as well. Great for poking & proding into those tight spots & good too for shallow creek detecting. It has replaced my Gold Monster for that purpose as it gets better depth than the GM. I find the stock 11" a very good coil with a very hot outer edge & it does get some depth on small bits. I haven't used my NF 12 x 7 for a while even though I always take it with me. I just can't justify taking the Goldhawk off. If I want more depth I will use the 11" where I can. It has done me well on deeper ground where I can poke it. Horses for courses. They are all good coils & just depends on the contours & rugged nature of the terrain.

Now that my friend is an amazing find for here in the US.  I don't think the majority of people know how rare a 1+ oz nugget really is.  Trust me, I know and YES it's a stunning and rare find.

Love the story, the pics and the beer can signals that turn out to be...the real deal.

Your efforts and desire certainly paid off, well done.

Many thanks Gerry. I had it actually in between my teeth and wanted to take a selfie, but then I reconsidered and thought that this should always be your signature selfie style (that we all came to love). 😁

Well that Big-O chunk deserves such, so don't worry about my Signature.  When you find rare treasures such as that, please do show a big mouth full and smile.
