"The final version which hopefully will be the last Legend software update..."

Sure it will...

I love your sense of humor, Jeff!

This could be huge.

I will be installing it today and hitting some previously hunted sites if I can.

I don't know about huge.

Basically the big one for me is the adjustment to the 0 iron bias setting which should lower the possibility of a partially iron masked non ferrous target sounding like an iron target. It may also help give that target a better non ferrous target ID. Probably won't help as much on really deep ferrous/non ferrous target identification.

If you hunt with iron rejected (F discrimination pattern) it might be more huge than if you hunt with iron accepted.

I hunt with all or most iron accepted. I have just been lowering the iron tone break to 8 or so to let borderline non ferrous targets have a better chance of being called non ferrous. Now I won't need to do that as much at carpet of nails or higher iron mineralized sites.

I will probably dig more iron targets that sound like non-ferrous in a carpet of nails situation but that's okay with me.

Jeff, basically explained it in the previous post - I extracted the quote above.

Basically Jeff is pointing out that IB 0 on Legend does NOT mean that zero iron bias is applied.  There is some minimal level of iron bias applied even at 0.  This update further lessens the amount of iron bias applied at the 0 setting, which means less borderline non-ferrous targets will sound ferrous.

This one is of the most interest to me.

I wonder what they've done to improve pinpointing? The feature works pretty darn well in the current version, in my opinion.

Thanks...I didn't see Jeff's post explaining that when I asked that question..we were probably posting at the same time. It sounds like the IB 0 upgrade is pretty much the same as what  Minelab did by adding the Iron Bias -1 to the equinox  700/900

Jeff, if at all, how do these improvements corelate to Iffy Signals video of being able to hit the deeper targets that it struggled with in the previous version ? What am I missing ? Thanks. Mark
