Fedrik
Hi everyone, thanks for having me! My name is Federico originally from Argentina but living in Costa Rica for 8 years now. Since I´ve moved here, probably a year later I decided to start enjoying this awesome hobby and never stopped since then. I started with a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV which is now retired somewhere in the closet to move then to my actual detector, a Quest X10. My next goal is to get me The Legend and hopefully that detector will let me move to the next level. Along these years I´ve been learning a lot and having found many interesting objects, which I would be more than happy to show and share to y´all. I also have a YouTube channel where I occasionally show my adventures (@deteccionpuravida).
skywatcher
welcome My wife is from arg. I have detected argentinian coast from la plata all the way to necochea lots of goodies thousands of beachgoers i dont miss the ice cold water or the sealions harrasing me hahah. I dont know if the legend will improve your detecting very much unless you go to costa rican atlantic side. good luck finding that gold.
Fedrik
Hi, that´s great! I am going to Argentina in December and never detected there before and of course I will take the detector with me. I know for a fact that having a better detector will indeed improve my skills to find better objects. I am with a local group and only those who have Equinox or Legends have found gold. I never found anything better than silver. I tried the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and I must say it was the best place to detect. Lots of euro coins and American coins.

rvpopeye
Welcome to the crew Fedrik ! Maybe your coil just hasn't passed over any gold yet ? My Nox hasn't found gold in 3+ years . Try test detecting some gold items to see if it CAN find gold (guessing it will) and listen to the gold sounds it makes so you will recognize them later👍

I truly believe I haven´t passed over gold yet. I did test it with my wedding band, some gold chains. In my case, gold sounds similar to pull tabs and for that reason I dig it all, but no gold for the moment.
rvpopeye
Fedrik I'm not sure that the Legend will change your luck but it might. Not saying don't get one , if you can afford it go ahead. But. It sounds like you have learned some of that Quest's language. Most new vlf detectors are capable . Knowing what the machine is telling you is more likely to get you some gold than learning another detector IMO . That Quest DID find your wedding band , right ? Don't give up , keep at it and good luck !
