Dave. They are fantastic looking! You did a great job and have a good pair of hands. Are you going to use them now? Lol! I know If I tried to make those, I'd shoot my eye out. Enjoy your new hobby!

Yes some get used a lot some others on occasions,

The one on the left in this picture gets the most use, 1084 high carbon core and Nickel sheet and then Wrought Iron cladding on the outside,

Bevels ground back to revel the white Nickel line and then leaving some of the hammered forged Wrought Iron up along the top part of the blade, and the blades are finished with a Bees Wax mix Oil paste to keep them in good condition

Great looking knives! I'm a sucker for a nice kitchen knife 😍

Outside of detecting I'm either working or running a couple of side businesses. Besides that, I enjoy gaming. Stickfight, Beamng, Gmod and RDR2.

I've started to also dip in to watch repairs/mods which is great fun.

I'm a simple man

How many layers in that Damascus? Amazing work.

When not dirt fishing I'm regular fishing.

the ones it that photo are 5 layers Go Mai its 1084 core then a layer each side of that is thin 0.1mm Nickel sheet and then Wrought Iron cladding in the outside.

its a bit different to "Damascus" which in the other pictures is 1095 and 15n20 steels forge welded and twisted pattern in 352 layers

cheers dave
