What Do You Guys Do When Not Detecting?

I finished this one this morning, it's a smaller Kitchen/Chefs knife, blade length is 125mm (5").

I darkened the front piece of the handle wood upto the copper spacer.

All finished with Bees Wax and Baby Oil 50/50 mix and warmed up so it flows and then polish off the excess.

Go Mai construction, Blade is 1095 core, and then 0.1mm Nickel sheet each side and then Mild Steel cladding.

Handle is Sandalwood and Copper spacer, any cracks or holes in the wood were filled with Superglue

The Sandalwood was sent to my by James Beatty in prep for his Gold knife Go Mai with gold inplace of the Nickel or Copper

This off season what I`m doing is solving my water security problems in this remote dry FNQ location, no longer will I have to rely on the 2 low volume bores, fingers crossed that is. Putting that heavy stuff back into a big hole in the ground.

Dreaming of a wet Xmas.

Aye, just red claws/bait fish for a year or so then barra, I surprisingly seen a good size turtle heading upstream in the lower section of the bywash as it first flowed and I believe fresh water perch will be in dam already (Mother Nature at work). The top 100m of the creek (now submerged) just cut down the trees and left for fish/bait cover. Old fella project along with gold prospecting to keep mind/body active and healthy.
