Hi teammates,

Lately I have been looking at Geoview and always wonder in what circumstances would you go apply for SPL or P lease respectively? I have seen a place on Trove and was able to locate the area---where there was a dead P near or around it. In similar cases I also noticed there were SPLs on it too. Just wonder why the guy applied for P not SPL?

Kind regards,
Ethan

SPL is applied for on an existing E (exploration lease) can also be applied for with great difficulty on an existing M (mining lease) or existing P (prospecting lease)

Where as a P can be applied for on vacant ground and can be upto 200ha whereas a SPL can be maximum of 10ha

it's only better gold because you can peg an SPL on a live Exploration lease and if you do the research you could peg some real good ground, mind you the holder of the E can object and you will have to negotiate or take it to the Wardens court.

Pegging a P on vacant ground is easy and not many complications but sometimes it's vacant because, well because.......not much gold has been found in the area, but that just might mean it's still there waiting to be found, perhaps!!!

And people usually peg an SPL because they found or reasonable suspect there is something substancial there. While it’s held up in the wardens court every man and his dog will get out and sodomize it. Unless you’ve got plans to use machinery sometimes it’s best to just get in there and flog the crap out of it yourself sans SPL
