Popular Post Compass Posted November 6 Popular Post Share Posted November 6 My friend and I headed to the beach after hearing about a promising swell during a wide tidal swing. We were pleasantly surprised to find some fresh cuts along the shore and started finding targets in the wet sand for the next few hours. Unfortunately, no gold for us this time but we both found silver. A 1940 silver Walker was a big surprise since we were not finding any other older coins. Perhaps it was pushed up on shore by the heavy surf or perhaps it was in the recently added replentishment sand. The medallion is stamped "925" on its bottom edge but the design is new to me.
