Steve Herschbach
So are you just here to advertise? That normally requires full membership and is done in the classifieds. How about you at least tell us about yourself, how you are related to this product, etc.? 5 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26950-gold-reaper-sluice-box-is-back/#findComment-283875 Share on other sites
GoldReaperGuy
My name is Don Glaszczak, retired carpenter. I moved up to northern california where i sluiced for gold using a bazooka gold sluice. one day while sluicing during the winter, water level was very high but i wanted to sluice anyways, so i wedged my bazooka between some rocks and started running buckets. after a few buckets i returned to run another and my sluice had been washed out and disappeared. i jumped in diving trying to find it, but it was long gone. at the time bazooka was already out of bis.. so i measured my friends bazooka and made my own, I copied the design because i liked the way it worked, added grooves in the deck so i could see my progress. it is also stronger, thicker deck 1/4 inch and 3/16 sides. welded at every joint. Have 3d printers so i made my own logo and started selling, they actually went worldwide. then there was a cold storm that rolled through texas and shut down the abs plastic plant, prices doubled, so i stopped making them, cause i though they would be to expensive. after getting many calls, because my phone number is on every one. and a friend begging for another, i started again. sorry if i broke protocol, can remove if needed. _Don Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26950-gold-reaper-sluice-box-is-back/#findComment-283939 Share on other sites

Interesting product, had a Bazooka myself back in the day. Thanks for sharing it and your story and welcome to the forum! 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26950-gold-reaper-sluice-box-is-back/#findComment-283946 Share on other sites
Ridge Runner
There was a guy in Corpus Texas that had made something like what I see you have now. I can’t remember how many years back that was but I do know later he moved to California if I remember correctly but never heard of him again are what he’d been making. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but talked on the phone more than once. Chuck PS I do remember seeing his wife at a treasure show here in Texas and I remember asking her where her husband was and she said he was at another show. But they had a bet going who could sell the most that weekend. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/26950-gold-reaper-sluice-box-is-back/#findComment-283947 Share on other sites
GoldReaperGuy
I enjoy building, keeps me busy and of the couch.. I have a sister in texas, she just sent me a pic of gas at 1.50 a gallon soon, crazy i just paid 4.99. i would like to go to the rock show in quartsite az, went once very cool stuff. as far as i know there is only one other fluidbed sluice thats similar, but he used clear plastic? which in my experience scratches way to easy.
