Here's a video i did last week that might help some people that want to use the Axiom Beach hunting.

Nice video, good job explaining the settings and how to get it stable. Congrats on the silver. That little dime gave a good loud signal.

Just curious, you used the 13x11 DD coil, so did you happen to try using the Iron I.D function in that extreme salt.?

My guess is it would not be accurate, I know in bad mining ground it often is not.

And yes the headphone drop out I have been complaining about from the start, I may have to fix it myself.

Have you resolved the headphone drop out?  I just started using mine at the beach and have noticed the same thing.

Nothing seems to stop the headphone drop outs, I was hoping Garrett would correct the problem that by now they MUST be aware of,

When I get a chance I will experiment to see if I can do anything with it without splitting the case and voiding the warranty.

I am also noticing some MS-3 drop outs.  It seems ok when first operating on charged batteries, then began later in the day intermittently.  The audio "clicks" and stops for perhaps 1/2 second, then recovers.  It seems to do it 3-4 times in the space of a few minutes, then operates ok.  I'll try to do some more testing/analysis to see if the problem is repeatable.

The only resolution I have for the drop out on the Axiom audio is to use another system. I have started using plug in headphones but I also use the Quest wirefree pro headphone system and it seems to work great. They can be purchased on eBay for about $100. But is another thing you have to worry about keeping charged.

Steve posted a thing about the headphone dropouts on here, it’s produced by Garrett.

If you are digging and put the detector down, pull the box away from your body and that helps. And if you’re walking and you have dropouts, it also helps to turn the headphones so the receiver side of it (same side as the power on switch) is on the same side of your body as your detector. I also use a little Bluetooth transmitter on my box when I use my Torus Bluetooth collar speaker, and there are no dropouts at all with it, even when you walk away from the thing. A good quality Bluetooth headphone set would work the same way.
