What say you?

I keep it cause recently I felt the need of more ground covered, but actually there's a bad feeling deep inside me, telling to go back to the 8X5...

Keeping clear in mind that not everyday there are right conditions to use it, when the ground layer it is at the right level there's almost nothing left with it...I feel it extremely different in conduct in spite of such a little dimension change.

Nothing bad against it, as I pulled out the last wedding band last Thursday, but like I said, I wonder how much better it would be with the killer baby.

I also hunt underwater and the game downthere it is a bit different.... Especially cause of tight spaces among rocks.

I love the M9. Not only for it's performance, but also for the improved balance. To me, it changes the whole feel of the detector compared to the M11. I only used the M8 a couple of times before selling it, but to me, M9 just seems like the perfect balance of coverage, separation, maneuverability and depth.

I have all four.  But if I could only keep two, the M9 would be one of them.  If I could only keep one, the M9 would probably be it, since it works so well for small nugget hunting and the M11 doesn't.  There are times the M11 is more useful.  But the M9 is my favorite.

I’m hunting the salt beaches of Florida and keep switching between the 8 and 9. I like the added coverage of the 9 and it feels more balanced and smoother to swing than the 8. In the water I have to decrease sensitivity about 2 points with the 9 to make it comparable to the 8 in regards to falsing.  If I could have only one it would be the 9.

Damn it, I've got the M9 on my mind now....I'm wondering if the extra sensitivity that can be dialed into the M9 might equal the M11 for depth on the beach. The 150 grams or so weight reduction is irresistible.....I could swing that for 8 hours easily.

I'd trade my M15 for one, that's for sure.

Coils really do mess with your mind.....18" coil one minute and then half that size the next.
