Keeping clear in mind that not everyday there are right conditions to use it, when the ground layer it is at the right level there's almost nothing left with it...I feel it extremely different in conduct in spite of such a little dimension change. Rattlehead Posted November 26 Share Posted November 26 I love the M9. Not only for it's performance, but also for the improved balance. To me, it changes the whole feel of the detector compared to the M11. If I could only keep one, the M9 would probably be it, since it works so well for small nugget hunting and the M11 doesn't. There are times the M11 is more useful. okara gold Posted November 28 Share Posted November 28 I’m hunting the salt beaches of Florida and keep switching between the 8 and 9. I like the added coverage of the 9 and it feels more balanced and smoother to swing than the 8. In the water I have to decrease sensitivity about 2 points with the 9 to make it comparable to the 8 in regards to falsing. The 150 grams or so weight reduction is irresistible.....I could swing that for 8 hours easily. I'd trade my M15 for one, that's for sure.
