From what I can read it actually only applies to gaining ‘licences’ in those particular areas, not to recreational prospecting.

Hawkear on Prospecting Australia Forum has asked Parks a specific question about a specific location and is awaiting an answer, which should give an indication re: all other gazettes areas.

If it is a genuine ban, there will be a big backlash.  But we need to get things definitively clarified before going further  👍
