Sounds like it's a long way from ready by that video, went too long to hold my attention so I started at 46 minutes and gave up after a while.

I think they were indicating people like those he was talking to in the video will be testing it in various soils as they don't have the soils in France to test it on, meaning it's not near ready for release.  I doubt they'd sell it before even testing it in various soil conditions.

A few points I got from skimming:

Coil should be released by March

It will hopefully be a good tool for finding specific things like chains on the beach and gold nuggets in mineralized ground

"Higher frequencies" but nothing specific, they can't talk about that yet

They will be relying on US testers to assist with any differences over here, so some may be using it soon.

I'm excited about it regardless, I've had great success with a small elliptical on another detector and will welcome this one whenever they release it.

My favorite coil by far is the 11x13, so a compact elliptical will be a great compliment.

I do want to acknowledge and thank @Zord for posting this. 🙂

Sorry F350Platinum, we were typing at the same time.

Coil should be officially announced for release in early February with it being available in the USA by the end of March. That is what I understood too. Software will have to be released to accommodate the coil so some kind of software update will also have to happen.

Whether we are beta testers or not, I don't care. Either I get my hands on this new coil or I will just stop using a Deus 2.

As Phillipe clearly stated early on in the live stream, the current XP Deus 2 coils are not optimized for heavy iron mineralization. This new coil will be for extremely trashy areas with high amounts of aluminum and iron trash, high iron mineralization/gold prospecting and for specific targets like tiny chains and open earrings which are two targets types he mentioned.

Hopefully the elliptical HF2 coil will be as sensitive to tiny targets and partially masked targets like the original HF coil. I had a hard time understanding Phillipe, but did he also mention a 9" round HF2 coil early in the live stream? I would really be interested in that coil.

Phillipe said in the video later on that only the elliptical HF2 coil will be available for the Deus2. (around the 53:15 mark)

Nope but I have an overwhelming feeling that they will be dropping a bombshell on us all very soon.

Many (maybe most) have long since gotten tired of waiting, wating, waiting & went to the Manticore (with its M8 coil).

Not sure that the manticore is that good
