Outstanding hunt F350! I was surprised to see the 9" coil in use. With those results, you might have to use that coil more often. 😉 It's always nice to dig a Spanish silver, never mind 2. Nice relics too!

Lodge.

Thanks Lodge,

I brought the 9" to hunt in beans left behind and in the erosion fissures, it's also easier to get it into the woods next to the field. I can't go far in, it's pretty impenetrable.

I went over some ground I had been over with the 13" but did not find anything new there. Guess I covered it fairly well. 🤔

There is another place that is a spot where a barn was, the beans weren't cut too close there, so I may use it again.

I recall a logical argument for using the large elliptical over the small coil, technique has a lot to do with it too. I really find the 11x13 is much more accurate ID-wise than the 9", but I do like the precision of the 9" for digging. 🙂 Just not in an open 50 acre field 😬

I'll like the new smaller elliptical much more, I'm sure 😎

Another great hunt in this weather with some nice finds.

I wish you the best of luck on your hunts and stay safe out there.

Congrats on that reale and great buttons!

Thanks 1491!

This house was originally built in the 1780s. There should be some Spanish coins there, the people were fairly affluent, and Spanish silver was used until the 1850s here. 🤔 Because I'm finding it in more remote or difficult areas, that tells me this place was detected previously. Another clue is the IDs I'm getting in the lawn, mostly aluminum and construction material.

Subsequent owners were even more wealthy. One was in the Civil war, but I haven't found any evidence of that yet.

Hopefully I'll find more cool stuff. 🍀

Thanks VL,

Next week should be warmer, a cold snap like this one is common. I hope we have as mild a winter as last year overall, it gets kinda painful when my hands go cold. 😵
