  • The title was changed to Strange Stone Seal

Knowing the size and weight would be a great start. Then let us know the part of the world you were at when you found it, not the exact location but close to it would be helpful.

The place where I found it is a very old archaeological site that contains fragments of Islamic pottery and pottery from the Iron Age. It was also a passage for Arab caravans in the Arabian Peninsula. There are also many hills around this site that contain fragments of very old, coarse pottery, as well as remains of soap-making pottery dating back to 3,000 years BC.

Interesting that it is not symmetrical. There are two lines and one dot on one side and two dots and one line on the other side.  Does it resemble any known letters or glyphs of any of the current or historical local alphabets?

I cannot tell the type of stone from the picture.  I would be curious if it matched any of the local lithologies.

I can't tell if it's 2 inches across or 2 feet....
