I spent the day at a well detected club claim in the Mojave Desert. This was a place I said I would go on my birthday because I don't think they got them all. I was right. We've had a tough time finding gold for the last few trips. We didn't find any with Reese in Arizona. We took an over nighter to Mojave and was skunked too. We also had a couple of other California trips without gold. It was nice to get these two nuggets with the 7000/X15CC. The first was about 3 inches deep and about 20 feet away the larger nugget at 6 inches was just a whisper at first. I'd like to say my wife found some nuggets too but her 2300 has not been up to the task for the last few trips. Gold is small and deep now in that area.
