Popular Post midalake Posted January 14 Popular Post Share Posted January 14 So for over a month I have been testing an extension cable and chest mount for the equinox 900. Yesterday after a month I connected the 900 direct and could not find any difference in performance at a salt beach. There seems to be no effect on Depth, sensitivity, EMI, or any other performance factors. The loss of weight on the rod is VERY noticeable and makes for more comfort and detecting time. Especially working with water resistance. This was NOT tested for under water use. While this will not be for everyone, I think water and beach hunters will really like this. I have included links to the cable, [1 meter in length] and also the bag I used for the pod. There are several extra straps added to the bag to stabilize and secure the detector. This was my idea for the pod. You may have a better one? Any questions, just let me know! Equinox 800- NOT compatible, Equinox 900 -tested and approved. Manticore- cable works but not tested afield.
