Thanks for the hint...I used a Cz21 for a while but soon surrended to the heavy bulky armour and battery compartment...A nightmare...

Ha! Yes, that was my first water machine. I hip mounted mine on a belt so it was actually very light to use. I don't know how well that would work for a diver. Still have mine collecting dust in the closet.

I never used to hip mount cause of the different hunting position and environment of my coast.

Being with a scoop among heavy boulders and rocky prevailing bottom it is almost useless so sometimes a mask, a snorkel and dive boots are the preferred setup to move some stuff and reduce the height of the coil from the ground zero...The less cables and things on me, the better.

I weighted a coil only once with a sock filled with sand. It was for the Garrett ADS 7 decades ago and about a half hour into the hunt a wave flooded the control box and off to the repair center it went.
