Nice hunt... and the coins are a pleasure...,, I would try to rub this unknown coin with olive oil... and get some details...

Thanks EL Niño,

I may just do that, but I'm pretty sure it is an Indian Head penny. Since it's the same size as the Wheat penny, it may simply be completely worn out.

Sort of looks like a wreath, but I cannot make it look like an IHP or a flying eagle. Could it be an English farthing?

I don't know, it's exactly the same size as the Wheat, just thin and all toasted. Farthings are larger or smaller. 🤔

I think I see Chuck E Cheese bottom right. 🤔

Nice hunt....worth gettin' dirty for!

Awesome. 🤣

Thanks Brad,

Here you have to grab any opportunity to get out there in the winter, the last 2 were mild, we got nearly no snow and it seemed like it was in the 40s and 50s all the time. That was El Niño, this is La Niña. 🫤 The Mid Atlantic gets the best of both worlds, I guess. 🤪

Glad you got out for some nice keepers.  Your little lead caps are off of the nail heads used on the metal roof of a structure.  They were the seal to keep water out.

Finding them separate from the nail tells you the structure was torn down as opposed to burned down.

That's good to know, there is molten metal in another part of this farm, and the owners did not know there was a building where I was searching. The caps, bits of brick and some roof metal, as well as lots of iron signals indicating nails were a giveaway.

It might be muddy but at least it's not solid ! No help on the mystery coin. Silver too ? Nice !  👍

Uptah camp we call that much snow a dustin' 350.🤔 Shovel works !  I B jelly 😍

The storm here was all rain yesterday and 43  but none of it would soak in !  Now there's a not so nice layer of white on those puddles of ice.  Zero next few.  My camos have a brown fleece lining LOL .😁

Hello, fellow Walmart shopper! 🤣 Got about 5 pairs of those fleece lined accoutrements myself, both camo and deer colored. Mine were the camo version, although I'd have got away with the khaki, they're hunting wabbits now. Love those Wranglers.

Luckily this new round of snow missed us, and ever so slightly. I dread the next 3 polar days but after that I sees a warming trend in me spyglass. 🥸 No snow in the near future here either, so maybe I'll just need a pick for a day or 3. 👍

It was great to have a silver pop before I left!
