Hi everyone,

I'm interested in learning more about the UIG Watch Detector. I've heard it's a unique device, but I haven't been able to find much information about it.

Has anyone here used the UIG Watch Detector before? If so, I'd love to hear about your experiences with it. What are its pros and cons? How does it compare to other metal detectors on the market?

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello , thanks for your answer but i have one question Is there a reliable metal detector and a reputable company for searching in soil with layers mixed with metallic metals, for example (Syria)?

That all these forums are about, with days of reading available. I’ll just cut to the chase and say that virtually all the most serious gold prospectors worldwide use Minelab metal detectors. Because based on use by huge numbers of gold prospectors all over the world they are the industry leader and innovator, producing the best cutting edge products. Anyone claiming they make something with better performance as far as depth and sensitivity for gold prospecting, quite frankly, is probably lying or being misleading at best. I’m not saying this because it’s anything but the actual fact of the matter for many years now. Others are catching up, but nobody has yet surpassed Minelab for sheer performance for finding gold nuggets with a metal detectors.

This chart from this article gives you realistic real world maximum expectations. Anyone selling anything claiming to exceed these figures should be looked at very, very skeptically. Yes, people want things to be better, and that fuels an entire industry preying on people’s wishful thinking. The reality is there are technological limits. As they say, a fool and their money are soon parted. Buyer beware.

Minelab GPZ 7000 is the most expensive and depth sensitive detector they make. It’s primarily used for gold hunting. The Minelab GPX 5000 is what a lot of relict hunters use for maximum depth but it is heavy. A Minelab Equinox 800 or 900 are much lighter and much easier for beginners to use, and have both gold, coins and other metals modes. They are not as sensitive for depth as the 5000.  The less expensive Minelab Equinox 600 is very similar to the 800 and can detect most relicts, coins also, but does not have a gold nugget or small gold mode.

The thread above discusses the subject. As far as companies, you have to decide what product you want, and then check the manufacturer site to see who sells that product. I’ve tried to offer you some advice but I can’t make your decisions as to what fits your situation best for you. Good luck in your hunt.
