Popular Post JamieinMaine
I am not a big contributor to what is new in the detecting hobby. I try to contribute when I can I am more of a budget detectorist. I don't make videos. I don't buy high end machines, or hunt for nuggets. All of which I give the utmost respect! I have a meager budget, and a love for machines that are "outdated". I have a long list of machines that I want to try out. I believe there is still lots of fun to be had with these machines. They don't stop finding coins when a new model comes out. I have received an Xterra 705 recently. I also have a Xterra 50 coming soon. Both will hopefully contribute to the fun factor. I am also happy to buy these machines from fellow detectorists. It helps them out . That is all for my small soapbox speech. Happy hunting! Also want to thank Steve for this forum. The Detector database is very cool! 17 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27724-going-backwards-for-fun/ Share on other sites

The Detector database is very cool! Great approach to detecting! And just think, the “Mojave” and the “Boot of Cortez” nuggets were both found with very basic metal detectors, so you never know unless you try! 5 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27724-going-backwards-for-fun/#findComment-290719 Share on other sites
Doc Bach
Post your dream and wishlist of older but not necessarily outdated machines What the average forum member cannot fulfill @George Kinsey more than likely can. I like your approach. The XLT used to be on my list, but I have had fun enough with my ID, IDX, and my other classic white's machines. BH Big bad bud pro, Teknetics Mark 1, Teknetics T2, Tesoro Cortez, Tesoro Golden Umax, Fisher CZ3D, DeepTech Vista X, Fisher 1266-X, Minelab Etrac, Fisher F5. I am a casual inland coin/jewelry hunter. Just to try, maybe not own forever lol 5 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27724-going-backwards-for-fun/#findComment-290821 Share on other sites
