Keep in mind there is no guarantee's they're going to be releasing an 8000

True dat.... never any 'guarantees' about ML releasing something when you expect or anticipate. Look how old the 7000 is now. The complete lack of competition has allowed this unit to drag on for 10 years. If they release anything else but the 8000, its gonna be 'meh' for serious operators though.....

Yes, very likely. Word is, that the GPZ replacement has been finalized for a few years now. Minelab are always 5 years ahead in R&D with new product, tech and innovation. They only release these when the economic situation for the company demands it. Obviously, this is now.

Are they going to be using 5 year old chips and technology?  Let's hope not.  Come on Minelab put a powerful, programmable chip in your new models.  Others are already doing it.

E1500 mostly, along with 5000 and Nokta Legend (where ground allows). Im aiming to sell a kidney for when the 8000 is released.  😁

5000 is a good one to go along with your e1500 for the deep stuff, and people like goldseeker are making a nice profit with theirs! I recently purchased an Axiom and really need to get proficient with it. Also have a 5000, but it’s not as useful here with small So California gold as what the 6000 could do. Hopefully the Axiom will help with that!

Did Reg miss a big one that these will find?

Probably his retirement nugget also!  And has anyone else noticed how quiet Gerry has been lately? Hmmm… 🤔

Reg will be the first to tell you, there will be 100's of bigg'uns just out of reach here in Victoria. Over half of all the worlds biggest gold nuggets ever found have come from here. If I get my hands on the new GPZ, I will be chasing them too, dont you worry.
