phrunt
I have a funny feeling the 4500 is sticking around for a while yet, until something new comes along. I wonder if the US warehouse will suddenly find some 4500's in a back room somewhere soon 🙂 It takes some time to ship, I mean find lost stock. 1 4 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292464 Share on other sites

Agree completely......need to take a look at the Plexus facility in Malaysia. I'm sure they are knocking out new 4500's but for a "limited time only"....🤣 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292466 Share on other sites
PeterInSa
Regardless of the cost, I think Simon ( phrunt) will be one of the first to add the Nokta Pi to his Detector Cabinet, and of course do a comparison with his E1500/2300 4 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292467 Share on other sites
Lead Detector
8 minutes ago, Tony said: It's a tricky situation for Nokta to find the right pricing structure........always at the back of their mind is Minelab's ability to release legacy PI machines (4500) at a price point of their choosing. My number of $1500 was at the lower end but over $2000 might be into GPX territory. Minelab will probably react after Nokta show their cards. This is the third release of the GPX4500.....it's got that good a reputation and lets not forget the SD2100V2 and SD2200V2.....they sold quite a few of those and threw a lot of cold water on the competition at the time. Lighter weight, simplicity, and waterproof would sell the nokta to many over the gpx IMO. If you hand the average guy a gpx, and an axiom, he would prefer the weight and simplicity of the axiom. Those who know the ins and outs of the gpx, would most likely choose the gpx. There will be customers for both. Just being waterproof is going to seal the deal for alot of people. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292468 Share on other sites

No arguments there.......Nokta can't afford to get too much wrong though and the PI performance needs to be there. If their VLF lineup is anything to go by then things are looking good. 3 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292469 Share on other sites

Just working on a suitable PVC pipe arm cuff and speaker horn for it at the moment to fix up some inadequacies. 1 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27875-nokta-active-magnetic-sensor-pi-detector-is-getting-closer-the-magnetar/page/4/#findComment-292471 Share on other sites
