I got re-inspired to make a better video of the Legend's TX frequencies than my short effort last April.  The first video was very impromptu & tested in the side yard at my home. This was not a good spot as the background EMI was quite high.  This second video has the desired low EMI but I did not consider that I had been hunting with the NEL 15" Attack coil.  Nokta has stated that the NEL coils are not tuned to Factory specs.  This may explain why my results show wider that expected TX bands. I also probably should have turned both detector's wireless off.  Still, interesting observations made.  I will re-test with a factory coil to compare.

The similarities of the various frequency choices & Modes indicates to me that the Legend's magic is in the Signal processing, not TX output.

  • The title was changed to Nokta Legend TX Freqs According To Rutus With NEL Untuned Coil

Here is the same test of the Legend with a factory coil mounted.  Same general results but a little more defined.

The NEL 15" Attack coil performs very well on the Legend. It is not really any "deeper" than the LG35, but is lighter weight and gives more ground coverage.   I am not concerned about it not being tuned to Nokta's specs.  My second video test above with a factory coil gave the same results as the first test.  NEL is an excellent coil maker & knows what they are doing.
