Caliche
(This is probably deserving of it's own thread.) I emailed Garrett the other day and asked when they were going to catch up to 2015 and provide a right-angle 3.5mm-to-MicroUSB cable for the WT-1 Transmitter, lol. I tried two generic 3.5mm-to-MicroUSB cables from Amazon, neither worked. The Minelab Equinox to 1/4” cable 3.5mm (1/8-inch) to 6.35mm (1/4-inch) (3011-0369) adapter would be an inelegant solution, even worse than an Amazon adapter. I'll probably just cut the 1/4" plug off a WT-1 cable and solder on my own 3.5mm right-angle plug. Caliche
They responded: "Thanks for reaching out. We currently have no plans to create a WT transmitter with a 3.5mm connector, but we realize that it is a good idea. Stay tuned – you may see one come from us the future!" Caliche
PhaseTech suggested: "The Quest WireFree Pro's work great. Just make sure you get the 3.5mm USB cable so you can direct plug the Transmitter, and not use any adaptor plugs. GotAU?
I posted a review for a low latency BT transmitter that works well with a Torus BT collar speaker and Bluetooth headphones here- it’s only $30 and works really well on my 24k and Axiom, maybe it would be worth a try on a Algo. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27909-wireless-options-for-algoforce-e1500/#findComment-292727 Share on other sites

Caliche
^ Good suggestions. I always turn off the Bluetooth and wi-fi on my phone when detecting to minimize EMI, can't say I notice a difference though. Garrett Z-Lynk claims: - "Speed: 17 millisecond delay (6 times faster than Bluetooth)" - "Operating Frequency: 2.4 GHz band frequency hopping" Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27909-wireless-options-for-algoforce-e1500/#findComment-292739 Share on other sites
