I really like how Gary explains things. Here is a real gem and so true at least for me:

He does a great job of explaining how to configure Deus 2 to make that happen.

When I try to access the videos, I get a message “Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot”.  But, I am already signed in here and I am not re-directed to a sign-in page.  Is there something I’m missing?

That's odd, the videos should be embedded links to this YouTube page:

https://m.youtube.com/@xpmetaldetector/videos

You can go there directly, possibly you're not interacting with YouTube. 🤔

I sometimes get the same message, and on other sites as well. Some sort of new You tube security(data harvesting) thing.

Well, I went to you tube and was able to search the videos and watch them.

One thing which really struck me was the cuff/stand assembly on his rod.  That has a bigger stand than the too-small-to-be-useful stand which came with mine.  Is that an after-market stand, or did XP change the standard stand?

It's a 3D printed stand extension attachment you can readily get off eBay or Etsy.  Generally, I have found them to be problematic: they either do not attach very securely or they use metallic tightening hardware that introduces stress cracks in the printed material that eventually fractures straight through.  After wasting money on several lost and/or fractured 3D stand attachments of various designs I finally just threw in the towel and don't use them anymore.  Since they all suck in my opinion, I am not going to bother posting a link to any of them.  Just do a Google search on XP Deus stand extension kit and they should pop up.  Maybe someone else has had better luck with these and can make a recommendation.

Thank you! For a moment, I actually held out hope that XP might’ve fixed a long-standing problem, and I could just buy an accessory from them.
