Get both. 😊

Might have to, although I'm a creature of habit, I do some experimenting with my coils to work out which I prefer, then I tend to put a coil on and leave it on if I like it, I may as well glue the Coiltek 10x5' onto my 6000.

Who am I kidding, I'll probably get the 9" and 10x5" 🙂  Coiltek now have their website I can buy from so that's made life much easier.

Please be just kidding,😉 I`ll be keen to hear how you find the new 10x5 compares to the old.

yea, I have a Coiltek Joey 10x5", loved that coil on the 4500 but on the Algo I prefer flat wound coils seeing its real benefit is the smaller gold.

I wonder if Coiltek and Nugget Finder will extend the new lines to larger coils, such as 19". Maybe they are focusing on the smaller coils to suit the Algo and the modded GPXs. XCoils seems to have produced larger coils using a similar technology without making a prohibitively heavy coil.

What if Minelab came out with a new PI that was really light weight much like the 6000 and nearly as sensitive. Maybe not having the raw power of the 5000 or 7000 but the price tag was less than a third of the 6000's price tag? Maybe it's also less suseptible to Electrical interference and deals well with black sand etc. Maybe it would be compatible with the GP and GPX coils so would already have a slew of coils to choose from that are not super expensive? Also it runs for many hours off a inexpensive basic fairly light weight power pack you can purchase from Walmart for cheap! In addition it has a basic ID and a digital screen.  Would that be attractive? Some of you I'm sure already know what I'm talking about. The Algoforce of course and it's already here!  The Algoforce at under 1600 dollars without a coil and power supply. I got a 2000 mah power supply from Walmart that is speculated to run the Algo for 20 hours or so. I haven't tested that but believe it's fairly accurate. I'm anxious to add a New Coiltech Elite Max coil to it when they come out April 30th or soon after. But I have several GPX coils to use in the meantime. I'm not selling them but I love a good deal and to me this detector seems like a really good deal. I didn't intend to get off the scope of this thread but while you are waiting for that new Minelab Miracle to come, don't forget to enjoy what's already available for what I imagine will cost way less money!

I would wait on that purchase. The few guys who I know who have tried the Elite Max are very unhappy with them. The 'loaner' coils being totally underwhelming in performance and modded detectors dont like them having the gain increased past 50%....the coil disconnects from the circuitry. Methinks they were a bit rushed into production and a bit more R&D is needed.

Wow!  I hadn't really heard any reports about the Max coils but assumed they would be equal to the NF Evo's or better and a round 9" seemed like it could be a sweet spot among smallish coils. Now maybe I might just hold off.  I don't want to pay 4 or 500 for a potential tu$d.

Appreciat the advice.

Im sure Trevor and Co will solve any issues eventually. I also have no feedback on their use with the E1500, only those with modded and un-modded GPX5000's.

I’ve tested them against the evo and had no issue with their performance on the Algo.
