Popular Post PhaseTech
I have tested a 10x5" on the E1500 and found it performed very nicely. It was very stable on the ground, in the same spot where I was digging a few false signals with the 9" Elite (camo version). I have been limited with field time lately due to a bad back, and I also smashed my toe so have been hobbling around in a lot of pain just getting the day to day stuff packed and out the door, but slowly on the mend. Hopefully get a lot more time in the field soon, especially with the new 9". 11 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296059 Share on other sites
RONS DETECTORS MINELAB
8 hours ago, Coiltek said: As with all manufacturers of coils, there may be teething issues once more coils get out there and some compatibility dramas due to tolerances of machines but overall we are excited to see more gold being found with the ELITE-MAX coils. Hi Trevor, Thanks for chiming in and letting us know that the new Elite-Max is available soon. I am looking forward to getting one as I have not had the opportunity to test one yet to gather my thoughts and first impressions of it which will eventually be shared with my many customers. Thanks Nenad for your feedback, hope you get back to a 100% soon. 😞 On a side note the Goldhawk 10x5” inch for the GPX-6000 has greatly impressed me on its small gold sensitivity and I’m excited and hoping to get similar results with the new Max 10x5” coil, thanks Trevor and Coiltek team for bringing this Joey size back to the market for the legacy GPX series. Could you elaborate on what your R&D has done to make improvements on the Max coil to excel over the Now discontinued Legacy Elite series, always better to hear it from the people who designed them and know there ins and outs. Always enjoyed that Bruce Candy used to do technical analysis papers to show how the technology has Improved and this always helped with promoting the product and showing how performance development improves. For example the Coiltek Elite claim showed a 30% depth improvement statement over traditional bundle wound coils. Thanks for your input on the Max series, Ron 5 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296084 Share on other sites
Roughwater
I went ahead and asked my dealer to get me a 9" Coiltek Elite Max. I'm Ok if it isn't the best coil for my modded 5000 but it appears to be a great coil for My Algoforce plus. I previously mentioned the gentlemen in the recent Gold Fools video had them using it at very high sensitivity levels of 25+. The 9" seemed to run very smooth and quiet and he explained he could run it much hotter than other coils in that that very mineralized soil. I have several other coils I can compare it to including a couple Evo coils and a Sadie and 6" mono Detech. I even have a 12X4 Litz wire 12X4 PMC coil. I might as well get a Elite Max assuming I still can. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296103 Share on other sites
Aureous
Options are always a good thing! So many variables to deal with (terrain, soil profiles, vegetation etc) so why not tackle those with the right coil? I use a 12x4 a lot also, best coil I own for dense vegetation where small gold is present. That EVO is a killer too 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296148 Share on other sites

That EVO is a killer too I had no Idea if the 12X4 was worthwhile or not but it was offered to me at a good price from a seller on Ebay from Oz so I bit. I couldn't imagine the 12x4 having great depth but I thought it might have decent sensitivity and be able to cover ground well. I do assume coils with smaller square inch measurements should be the most sensitive. But I was suprised that Goldseeker had found some fairly small nuggets as well with his 18" Evo coil with his un-modded 5000. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296235 Share on other sites

Its similar to the Coiltek 10x5 in its category, but way sturdier and terrific sensitivity. The full width sensitivity at the toe of the coil is what sold me. Poking it into bushes and rocks has found me many hundreds of pieces with it over the years. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296241 Share on other sites

The 14x9 will be a std flat wind like the original Elite. 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/27954-coiltek-elite-max-coils-for-the-gpx-legacy-and-algoforce/page/6/#findComment-296303 Share on other sites
