Thanks for putting up this video--a good demo of how the Algo target ID is all over the place and in many places like this one is fairly useless--detecting with a VLF here to get the gold would've worked a lot better if the ground wasn't hot. So the target ID's are somewhat dependent on size of whatever is detected. That was informative--When the weather improves I'll see if I can get satisfaction out of the ID feature, though I didn't buy it for that.

You have to know the ID of the target you're looking for, it's not like a VLF ID, also it's pointless for Prospecting other than it's ability to help weed out lead pellets.

Or if your in an area with countless 22 shells you quickly know their ID and can avoid them in favor of other targets.

Where it's good is if you're after a certain target, you know it's air test ID and then you can find it with good confidence before you dig it, the ID is very accurate even with depth, none of this is averaging or pulling down to iron you often experience with VLF ID'S

When it's understood how it works it can be put to use and be beneficial.

I didn't watch his video though, started it and saw him running it saying jow quiet it runs with its coil sitting on the metal tray of his truck, killing the coil, of course it's quiet in that situation 😳  it is a quiet stable detector in general

         Do the lead pellets always have a different ID than similar sized gold?

Most small lead pellets will come up 00, even a bunch of them all sitting together, rarely but it does happen a very small bit of gold will be 00, worth the risk in an area with lots of pellets.
