Friend found this in Maryland.  He says it looks like a bottle cap with a dragon on it.

Anyone find one of these or know anything about it?

He lives on a 1700s property.

Thanx

I got no picture on my end? Is it me or did it not go through?

Sorry about that.  My bad.

I am getting older.  😂

I'd guess, Gary, it came from a bottle of Chinese medicine, or liquor...based simply on the dragon, a well-known Chinese symbol.

Sorta reminds me of a wax seal maker, based on size! May have been mounted to a wooden handle!

Actually looks like I may have found the same one posted on reddit! Has a picture of backside!🍀👍

Definitely a bottle cap. Bottle caps originated in the 1890s. 👍

Cool find!
