I don't know if anyone will find this interesting or not, I personally don't as my soils very different and I don't know how the conditions in this area would relate to my own but it was good to see the difference between the NF EVO and 14"x9" Elite.

It just refuses to hit that 18" target at the end, I would have liked to see another detector in the mix to see how it went on that target, a 6000 or 5000 would have been nice to see, I'm sure the 5000 would be all over it.

I would have also liked to have seen this using identical sized and weight targets - maybe using identical lead shot for each of the depth sensitivity comparisons? Dealing with three variables (weight, size and depth) makes it difficult to determine the depth sensitivity results. But his test was good for comparing the two different coils as the same targets were used for both of them.

He's now compared it to the SDC on the same targets, this was more interesting to me after messing around comparing my SDC vs the Algoforce on little subgram targets, I'd never really done anything with larger targets for obvious reasons.  I really think the Coiltek 14x9" performs much better than the Nugget Finder 12x8" EVO even on the smaller gold.

I wasn't really surprised at all by the results, nether hitting the larger deep target.  I thought the Algo did better especially with the Coiltek coil.

I look forward to seeing how the new Coiltek Elite Max do when they come out, seeing they were designed around being used on the Algoforce, probably pretty good coils.

I don't know what the grounds like where he is, but if its the Carrara I'm thinking of at the Gold Coast in QLD I doubt it's super-hot, although my land in the South of Brisbane was deep red this stuff doesn't look similar although I guess it's not all about the colour of the soil.  The hotter stuff in NZ around here seems to be almost white in colour.

In my area some washes have very light buff colored decomposed granite gravels. I couldn’t use my 24k, nor my 6000, in them though for all the powdered iron stone mixed in with it.  It’s one of those places where you run a magnet through it and turns out very furry.

Probably the kind of place a GPX 5000 or SDC would be ideal.

I still have a 5000, but I had to sell the 6000. I was able to get an Axiom recently and it works well there 🙂 . An Algo would probably do very well there as well.
