I'll be in Vegas next week for work. I'm hoping to find some places to detect on my off time. Any suggestions? Whether it be for gold, relics or coins,  I'm up for any of it. I lived in Vegas for about 12 yrs, but wasn't into detecting much then. I do remember most parks were considered off limits. I honestly would rather hit some old sites or gold areas in the desert. I'll be bringing the Manticore for sure, and possibly the axiom if gold prospecting is a possibility.  Any recommendations are appreciated.  Anywhere between Elko and Vegas would be good too.

Thanks

Las Vegas is a two hour drive to Gold Basin. It also has meteorites and a lot of claims, so it would be good to check on mylandmatters.org. Check here and also on mylandmatters. Both have great libraries of information on where gold has been found.
