If anyone has this manual if you could photo copy and upload would be greatly appreciated. If not maybe just look in the manual and tell me what batteries it says to run. I believe it's 1 pack of 8 AA's. Also i think my Judge 1 is a second edition with red push button..

In your video based on the way the existing battery pack fits the receptacle cup so well and the cup is securely pop-riveted to the detector's housing (common construction for 70's and 80's drawn metal box detectors) and the fact a single 9V battery (assuming new) did not operate the test function light well, I'd say your belief in the 8AA (12VDC) battery pack being original is correct. If multiple battery packs had been used (like in the metered Judge 2), they would not fit into your receptacle cup and there would be additional connectors if that were the case.
