You’re correct slim pickings here in Idaho. I moved from Charleston SC where many areas are off limits because of historic sites but permission hunts can turn up old coins. Yup...running in "Best Data", Matt, though I think any detector would have found it...wasn't more than 3" deep. Pretty rocky soil.
