New Version Of Garrett's Z-Lynk? The CS-3

Looks like Garrett are releasing a new Z-Lynk device soon, I wonder if backwards compatible.  It is always good to see continued development and improvements in products.

It looks like it's now going to be Bluetooth.

Hopefully, the audio won’t be as easily blocked when it’s put down on the ground and your head or body blocks reception of the audio signal to the headphones. I thought I had a bum Axiom or headphones because it had a lot of audio dropouts when I was recovering a target until I read Steve’s warning about it. Bluetooth is a lot better. I use a small Bluetooth transmitter on my Axiom for my Torus collar speaker, and there are  absolutely no audio dropouts, even if I walk over 20 feet away from the detector.

Has anyone had a chance to try these yet? If the audio is better and no drop out, I'm all over it.

Not sure what all the excitement is about. This pairs with existing Z-Lynk devices so it’s just same old Z-Lynk. Except now you can get it in the smaller ear mashing headphones instead of the larger over ear headphones. It’s just the old ClearSound headphones with the old Z-Lynk added. Not for me, thanks.

Agreed, Steve.  I think maybe Garrett was looking for a streamlined, lower cost Z-Lynk set of headphones.  Might be a bundle addition to the Vortex line at some point.  I personally like the originals but they do get hot at the beach so I may try these at some point.

I was hoping the sound quality and dropout issue would be improved with this set, since that has been people's main complaints about the ms3. Hopefully there's some improvement,  if not, they should at least be a little cooler in this heat.
