I have been having issues with battery drain on my XP Deus 2 Master Remote. Battery was changed but problem persists and my dealer and I are trying to locate the problem. Currently the battery drains completely, and an icon appears on the screen. I have poor closeup vision but to me it looks like a box with a charging symbol and an X. I have never seen the icon before and neither has my dealer. I can find no images of such an icon. Has anyone else seen this icon or am I imagining it? When I plug in the charger, the remote will come on and turn off, constantly, but not charge. I unplug the charger and the remote apparently has charged slightly and I can turn it off. The remote then charges normally. A day or 2 later it will be dead again without use. I am testing to see if using a different paired coil helps. How do I use it to detect? I must charge it within a few hours of use and have a small battery pack. Anyone have a similar issue?

Maggie, if I recall, there was an issue in an earlier version of the Deus 2 firmware (pre ver 2.0)  that was causing battery drain when the Master puck was supposedly off but was actually still connected to the coil and drawing the battery.  First thing to do is confirm your firmware version.  If you are not at ver 2.0, I recommend updating to the latest firmware, if you can.

If possible, can you take a picture of your screen when displaying this symbol and post it here?  

Also, have you reached out directly to XP Americas technical support.  Did XP do the battery replacement?  You are under warranty for 5 years, so if the issue is not the battery but the remote electronics or a bug, it should be covered under warranty.  Here is XP USA support information:
