dr_maddog Posted May 8 Share Posted May 8 Recently, I had an issue with my Fisher F-Pulse pinpointer where it would emit a steady tone upon power-on. This was an original one from 2018. After reaching out to Fisher, I received an RMA and a follow-up call within a week. The resolution involved replacing my unit with a brand-new one, and while I did have to pay for the replacement, I felt the price was fair given the circumstances. The new F-Pulse has some noticeable improvements. It powers on much faster than before and features a tri-tone startup and shutdown sequence. Additionally, I spotted a small design change—the end cap is now black instead of red. I’ve always been impressed with the F-Pulse and appreciate Fisher’s customer support throughout the process. I’m looking forward to using this pinpointer for years to come. Knomad Posted Friday at 03:46 AM Share Posted Friday at 03:46 AM The F-Pulse I have is a replacement under warranty, but it does not have the upgrades you describe unfortunately, so apparently I missed the update, it was replaced a couple years ago when it just stopped working. It is still my favorite pinpointer. Just checked and it has the red cap so I guess not the upgraded version? Oh well cant complain, it was free! As a beach hunter I never saw the need for a pin pointer, but If I ever hit the dirt, I'm bustin it out for sure. I need to look into the settings and turn the sensitivity down?
