Mountaineer Matt
It could be a real. It appears that Encore International is a legitimate detector dealer who attended the Australian minelab conference a couple days ago and the photo is from a presentation at the conference. Encore has a video on their Facebook page of a physical Gold Monster 2000 unit. I can post a link if anyone is interested. 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296848 Share on other sites
phrunt
You're right, it looks like it might be legit. This is the Facebook link. The control box has more meat than the GM and a different coil connection. This is cool, they are releasing a detector I'm interested in, I had a hunch the GM2000 would be the one I'd want to buy. Here is the translation of the Arabic. Gold Monster 2000 The device features VLF technology with multiple frequencies from 12 to 75 KHz, meaning greater sensitivity for small objects and better depth for large objects. The device will be released in September, meaning it will go on sale in October. Price has not yet been determined, but it is approximately double the price of the old Monster. He has a video with more information about it on Facebook too They have improved the shaft with clips this time instead of the screw system that kept coming undone and thankfully a carbon upper shaft with fiberglass lower shaft, good to see they they fixed that up, take note Manticore owners. 3 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296852 Share on other sites
Mountaineer Matt
Here's another source with some images of it being used. It's SMF and PI in one machine. 3 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296854 Share on other sites
Popular Post phrunt
I had a feeling I'd want the GM2000, and I do. This looks perfect for my needs. I translated his video and here are the key points Comes with a 5" coil the GM05 and an optional 10" (not sure if elliptical he didn't say) Not compatible with the old GM1000 coils. Battery and arm rest are the same as the gm1000 Carbon fibre upper rod fiberglass lower now with the Manticore style clips on the shaft (the GM was known for its shaft twisting apart) He mentions the carbon fibre shaft wasn't used on the lower as it affects the device, so they used fiberglass SMF from 12kHz to 75kHz, more sensitive to small gold than the GM1000 and more depth. Stable in most conditions without losing depth and sensitivity in his testing. The sound has 3 tones and Target ID from 1 to 99, still has the probability meter from the GM1000 but is more accurate. Ground Balance has been improved and tracking has been improved. It has an auto noise cancellation that works better so GM2000's can be run next to each other in situations like Africa where this is common it will choose a frequency to run on faster and automatically. Signal processing uses some PI technology so is considered a Hybrid VLF. The new GM 2000 is quieter than the old GM1000 (I hope that means less bump sensitive) and easier for beginners to use. He is doing testing videos soon.... It also clearly has wireless audio as you can see the headphones icon on the screen, this wasn't mentioned in the video. Mountaineer Matt
Appreciate the translation. No signs of it being waterproof. I think a lot of folks will be disappointed by that I can't imagine a scenario where ID would be better for gold detecting other than it will indicate the composition of the target. The gold where I'm from bounces all over the ID numbers and sometimes into the ferrous zone so I would miss a lot of gold if I only dug solid ID numbers. I'm very interested in its depth capabilities. Will certainly be getting one to test it out 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296858 Share on other sites
GotAU?
The Nokta Gold Finder 2000 is trademarked, isn’t it? That’ll be confusing for some as its name sounds sorta like it. mn90403
They find a way to make you think it will find the gold you've missed on the patches you know best! 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296865 Share on other sites
Aureous
Interesting technology 'leap', using a time domain analysis of the entire return signal to determine whats ground and whats target. Its only with the latest advancements in digital processing, that is this possible at all. It 'should' provide a significant improvement in finding tiny gold at better depth. Great for specimens and high grading ore dumps methinks. 75khz is right up there with the Gold Bug 2. Dunno about about buying one, but I definitely wanna try one! But if I get gold in my old spots with it.....I am gonna get one. If its gonna retail for under AU$2K, its worth the gamble. 3 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28381-gold-monster-2000-released/#findComment-296866 Share on other sites
