Those Of You That Have Pre-Ordered A HF2 Coil Chime In If You Get A Shipping Notification

Recommended Posts

Ordered May 15th. Told on Friday Aug. 29 that I had moved up to #5 on the waiting list and that I'd get one of the next shipments after received from France. Apparently the dealer hasn't received any more in the last three weeks.

never ordered one but noticed they have arrived in Canada. So I bought one...even though I'm perfectly happy with the 9" coil I have. I upgraded to 3.1 and am initially using my 9" with the update. Plan is to eventually give the HF2 a go for small gold items at the beach...hopefully future SW updates will bring md'ing nirvana...

I saw a new hf coil on the beach in Virginia last week. They would not say what dealer it came from. I placed my order back in May and have not received it. My dealer mailed his supplier in Texas and the reply was they had hundreds on back order and were filling them as they were ordered. I made the mistake of using a small dealer compared to some so maybe he will get pushed back. I’m starting to lose that warm fuzzy feeling. On a side note the pirate I talked to said he had his coil one week and has yet to find a chain. Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Thanks for the updates.    So after 4 plus months I sent a first inquiry to my dealer, "XP HF2 coil ordered on May 8. Any news on when you will be getting them in?...." The response was, "Unfortunately, no as the website says we have no ship dates. We are waiting on XP to get us more. I do not know when that will be."      That response implies no information or hope for any near term delivery.  The dealer is in the top 10 in volume in the U.S. but perhaps that is not big enough.     It is more disappointing that XP cannot delivery on these HF2 coils while they are delivering on other products.

I saw this and am passing it on.....

As of late August and early September 2025, the following countries had suspended or limited parcel shipments to the U.S.:

Europe: Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia, and Spain.

Asia and the Pacific: Japan, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Other Regions: Australia.

All I can say is it’s a lot of detector buyers in the US and that adds up to a lot of money they not receiving.

Still haven’t heard anything about when they might be coming again to the U.S.

Shipping from many European and Asian countries including France, Australia, New Zealand has basically been stopped unless the value of the item is less than $100. That amount used to be $800 before extra shipping fees and restrictions were imposed by the USA on August 25th 2025.

So the HF2 coil is definitely over the $100 limit. It has an automatic 15% price tariff along with extra shipping fees and restrictions that have caused many smaller companies like XP to just halt all shipments to the USA of products that cost more than $100.

I just received a shipping notice that my HF2 coil is on the way. I ordered 5/15 hoping to receive it for a Labor Day trip but it looks like I'll finally get mine in another 10 days or so. 😁
