I had the opportunity to ask the question if the 2025 Tarsacci had anything new that the 2024 didn’t have.

I didn’t say anything about the price increase because what hasn’t gone up in price and it may be harder for a small company to hold their prices down.  I do believe you get just one battery now when you did get two.

I’d ask Dimitar why not do away with the backpack and then lower the price on the Tsrsacci but his reply was I give that to you. We know nothing is free.

I remember when I received my Tarsacci I took it out of the backpack and didn’t see it again until I put the Tarsacci up for sale. It’s just too small to carry the Tarsacci unless you  completely disassemble it.

On the subject of the backpack was last year if not before that.

So what did he say?

Just got the reply back and here it is Chase . Can’t say I understand it all but what I got is better than nothing.

  1. Additional frequency option: 4.8 kHz
  2. Selectable audio tone sets
  3. Independent secondary tone volume control — especially helpful in trashy environments when using Mixed mode
  4. LED backlight ON/OFF switch
  5. Improved, more stable circuit design and extra depth
  6. Expanded salinity control range — now up to 60

That is very encouraging.   Now if he would offer a way for current users to pay for the upgrading of existing units, THAT would be a real way forward for Tarsacci.

Personally, I would happily pay $300-400 to have Dimitar upgrade my unit. I am not willing to invest full price in a new unit that has the same externals.

Now to hear from someone who has bought the new 2025 Tarsacci and to hear what they have to say.  To have a video in action covering what this new Tarsacci has to offer in the field would be the greatest.

I can assure you it won’t be me because I’ve already exceeded my spending limit for the year on detectors .

I don’t think you can hold your breath long enough while Dimitar makes the updates. If it was just a computer update maybe so but in this new Tarsacci I don’t see that happening.

Given the significant performance advancements of various SMF units in bad dirt & salt environments, plus the advent of more adaptable light weight PIs, $1600 is going to be a hard sell.   I would wager the vast majority of current Tarsacci owners would jump at the chance to have their unit upgraded.  Then you will see the videos & read the field reports.  That will breath new life into Tarsacci and spur sales of new units to a larger base of detectorists.

Tell you what I’ll do and that I’ll go ask is it possible to have an older Tarsacci  model upgraded to meet the standard of the 2025 model .

Just hang in there this may not come as fast as my other question.
