ML have gone back on their apparent 'promise' to supply wireless headphones with the GM2000 (wired 'earbuds' supplied only)

Minelab made absolutely no such promise. Not one website selling the 2000 mentions such a feature, never did. I never thought it had wireless based on the African target market. Minelab is undeserving of criticism based on people imagining things, especially things that were never said by Minelab, certainly not “promised”.

Looks like some Aussie dealers got hands slapped for jumping the gun. I’d take any prices that were quoted with a grain of salt. And performance? I’d assume they have to finish final field testing and tweaking before anything gets said about that. Remember, official public announcement is in September, not now. Everything seen has been based on Middle eastern / African attendees leaking info from the recent dealer meeting. Announcement in September, and I bet on a delay on product reaching Oz and the U.S. until October or later.

I have tried for over 30 years to get an earbud to say in my ears - they all fall out after a minute or so of use (yes i have tried everything) - must be the shape of my ears so the included earbuds are going to be an absolute waste for me.

I'd rather it be a bit cheaper and not have wireless headphones, I've got a big collection of them already rotting away never going to be used.

Not sure how a wireless transmitter will help with getting earbuds to stay in my ear and not fall out - but willing to learn.

The idea was to use whatever wireless headphones you prefer instead of the ear buds.

Mohamed AlBayati quoted this in his posts whilst at the dealers conference and it was written several times in promotional texts. Maybe it was a failure in interpretation and then repeated by others? I thought it was great, a real bonus and a value creator for Minelab. But no....

Gold Rat prospecting supplies has supposedly got the nod to start promoting things here in Oz and he and a few other dealers are now pushing the GM2000 on Facebook quite aggressively. Seems very co-ordinated as they are all repeating the same promo text.
