The XP ORX and its direct predecessor the Depar are two top ten in the world gold prospecting VLF detectors and up until Deus 2 HF2, they could run at the highest single frequency available at that time for any gold prospecting VLF detector using the HF elliptical coil running at 81 kHz. So, there is an established precedence for XP to include a dedicated gold prospecting mode on Deus 2.

… and only Paystreak could do a comparison video swinging the D1 and first coil in one hand and swinging the D2 and HF2 in the other hand.

I had said one time on here I could swing a detector in each hand and another hanging off my rear with a windshield wiper motor attached to it .

XP if you're looking at this forum. I've got a suggestion. Offer goldfield in single frequency mono like the ORX and Deus 2 in addition to the multi frequency option.

Yep, been asking them to do that since day 1.  Something they could have done with the existing D2 coils (though limited to 45 khz) but so what?  The Manticore and Nox are also limited to 40 khz and do just fine.  I really didn't see the point in pressing for this mono frequency HF capability if they weren't ever going to enable it mono in the Goldfield process also.  There is little reason to use these high frequencies other than for gold.  The baseline Mono program which is disc-based on the D2 is processed differently than in Gold Field which uses IAR vice disc for ferrous filtering.  No idea what the XP engineers were thinking by not giving Goldfield/Relic programs a mono frequency capability.

thanks for the video Andy, you've certainly cleared it up in my head the fact I don't need to get a Deus 2 for this coil right now.

Out of interest, how do you think one of the older 19kHz machines would go on those targets in that ground? I would think it would do quite well on most of them based on my ground, just trying to gauge just how bad the XP is doing.

Does it pick that smallest one up in an air test?

I don't know if a 19Kz would hit those. I kind of doubt it, except maybe the .24 gram.

In an air test the D2 keeps up with the Manticore and will hit that .011

Air testing has always worked even with previous software and even with my 11" coil. However, the intensity of the audio response drops off really fast in FMF Goldfield even with V2.00 and PWM audio on these small targets. Deus 2 Mono with all of the filters turned OFF and switched to Pitch tones/PWM is a little better. The audio response is really loud with the target close to the coil and then drops off rapidly to nothing. It's not gradual at all. Raising the audio response setting does not help. Neither does changing the audio type.

Haven't tried Beta 3 yet. The coil I ordered will be here in 2 weeks.

Put targets in moderate to high iron mineralized ground and that quick loss of audio response intensity basically means these small target's audio responses are swallowed up by the mineralized ground.

I'm going to do another video in a few days with some suggested settings in both mono and Goldfield and see if it makes any difference. I'd like the HF coil to work on small gold as much as anyone. So I'm up to suggestions.
