The problem, sir, is that I bought a used Nokta Impact device in Libya, and after reading the user guide, I knew how to know the driver version of the device, so I found it remaining on the factory version 1.0, so I wanted to update it and entered the Nokta page on the web and downloaded the latest version, which is 1.14 and 1.16, and I unzipped the file  downloaded, then I double-clicked on the Setub file twice, and the setup program worked for the beginning of the installation screen, and then it stopped without responding for 25 minutes, then   exited A message stating that the preparation program did not respond and I will attach pictures of all stages...

  • The title was changed to Nokta Impact Software Update

I would try a different computer, as the updater is failing to even install based upon the information you've given, you could also right click on the installer's executable file and run it as administrator as it may have permissions issues preventing it overwriting existing files or installing in the first place.

Simon is right, the main problem is getting the updater itself to install. My prior post was thinking the update process had failed. Maybe also download a new copy of the installer or try the other version.

What I had posted I will copy to here below as being pertinent to the update process running into difficulty.

Two things come to mind. First, do a factory reset:

To go back to factory defaults, select FD/Save on screen. Two dashes (--) will be displayed on screen. Push the left button. When ''Fd'' is displayed, press the SELECT button once. You will see lines rotating in the GB window on the right side. When the process is completed, the lines will stop rotating and the Fd text will disappear.

Then try the update again. I have had issues with updates on other detectors, and trying a different USB cable has also worked for me when I had problems.

Yes, the problem is in the update tool installation program, and it was removed, I challenged the older, and the result was the same, and today I thought about restarting the computer and trying to run the update tool program, and the process succeeded, and the program worked, and I updated the detector to update a version successfully..
