Steve Herschbach
Due to the complicated color layout of this booklet, there was no easy way to convert to html that was not extremely code heavy. So I have opted here to go with scanned images of each page instead. I will put a pdf version in the Downloads Area tomorrow (done - see below) and place a link to that here for people that want a copy in one easy file. Finally, I wanted to add this note that was posted years ago by then White's CEO Alan Holcombe: "A word about Vision technology: White's does not have an agreement covering Vision technology with any person, company, organization or country. The Vision concept came directly from Ken White. All of the research, engineering, software, hardware, development and intellectual property are owned in total by White's Electronics Incorporated. Vision is the work-product of Design Engineers, John Plautz, Anne Kelly and Jeff Kelly, in consultation with John Earle, Allen Hibbner, Brian Huppy, Bob Canady and others, all directed by Engineering Manager, Carl Moreland." 5 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28643-spectra-v3-the-story-an-engineering-guide/#findComment-298656 Share on other sites
Tony
Wow Steve, you have been busy tending to your website with all the extra sub-forums (thumbs up) and detector documentation......don't forget to get out and swing that Manticore ! 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28643-spectra-v3-the-story-an-engineering-guide/#findComment-298669 Share on other sites
bigtim1973
I have a vx3.....I really am not sure how much difference it is from the v3i other than I do not think it has the xy type of screen and probably a few settings. I just ordered a got in one of those Detech 7" DD coils for it and I like the size of it. Gonna try to get out sometime and give it a go Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28643-spectra-v3-the-story-an-engineering-guide/#findComment-298983 Share on other sites

Gonna try to get out sometime and give it a go VX3 and V3i are the same detector, except the VX3 has fewer advanced tuning options. That’s not to say it does not have plenty and the truth is the ones missing were not used by most people anyway. 4 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28643-spectra-v3-the-story-an-engineering-guide/#findComment-298986 Share on other sites
