Thanks, Chuck.   I'm glad, as well.   I hope to learn a lot in here and off to a good start.  Will they let you hunt in the basement of the Alamo?

As long as the USB slot points toward the power head, that should be fine. 👍 The more amp hours, the heavier they will be, but I'm glad the detector can be used with an external supply. 🍀

Hi Roland78, 

This is a great site for learning, sharing and boasting! 🤣 I have a Nokta Gold Kruzer for prospecting and bought the accessory external battery pack.  It takes AA batteries and has mounting screws.  But that gives me an Idea!  I can obviously use a Li battery pack too.  I haven’t needed it so far.
