Popular Post Knomad
I posted this in reply to an Eric Ooster post (am I out of the game) about breaking his arm, then realized it is something to remember when you or your kids think you have a hard life, or feel you are somehow disadvantaged due to injury or disability. It's AMAZING how humans adapt. -- True story. I was in a market and noticed a slim tall above average looking young woman standing in the produce section, as I got closer she slid her right leg out of the sandals she had on, staying perfectly straight up she curled her leg up and around in front of her, AND grabbed an apple with her Foot, looked at it and put it in her basket.! I then noticed she had NO ARMS..!! Likely from a tragic birth defect, she likely never had arms, and naturally learned to use her feet as arms and could curl her feet to grab, I would not be surprised if she could type.! Sad, but also Truly Amazing..! 11 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28672-inspirational-true-story-for-all-you-humans/ Share on other sites

Sad, but also Truly Amazing..! I once saw an Archer shoot an arrow and hit the target and she had no arms. Amazing. Oddly, as a little kid my father one of his dad tricks was picking things up with his toes/foot. It fascinated me and I was often asking him to do it. He had no disability and he learnt it whilst in the Navy, I never asked why. Anyway by hook or by crook I was going to learn it too, I did eventually. Fast forward to today and it's a weird skill I'm glad to have now with an on and off bad back. Those bad days when I can't bend down to pick something up I don't have to, I use my feet. 😃 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28672-inspirational-true-story-for-all-you-humans/#findComment-299163 Share on other sites

BUT she was as cute as could be, and I thing the first girl I noticed as cute, AND always had a smile and always seemed happy..! I watched a show a little while ago about an armless painter who used his mouth. The pictures were fantastic. It is amazing and inspiring what people can do isn't it. 1 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28672-inspirational-true-story-for-all-you-humans/#findComment-299192 Share on other sites
Knomad
Truly AMAZING. More proof life is what you make it. I know way too many people that are without ANY disabilities and even young and healthy constantly whining and saying things like I could never do that, REALLY watch what people with NO ARMS can do.! Just Do IT and stop your Whining..! 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28672-inspirational-true-story-for-all-you-humans/#findComment-299267 Share on other sites
