Platinum Coin Found

Hi. I found this Russian 3 ruble 1843 platinum coin about 4 weeks ago in Finland. I've been to the same place many times before. Now I'm hooked on a Deus1 and 9"hf reel. As far as I understand, it's a rare coin😀

Thats a brilliant find, one of the scarcest to dig up.  10.3g with 170 odd thousand struck.

I understand many were struck afterwards from original dies. Russia had the only circulation coins of this metal.

Wow, beautiful coin and a great find! I didn't know any coins were made of platinum. I wonder what signal it gave, anywhere close to gold or silver for similar size.

In excellent condition it's worth around $2900, yours while in good condition would be worth much less but still a good bit of money!

hf coil deus 1 13.3khz gave a clean 69id. Old maps from 1849 show an old road marked at the discovery site. Maybe some Russian Cossack dropped the coin. There is a road nearby called the Cossack Road.
