Lead Detector
I've been dealing with a bad knee, and kneeling on rocks and hard ground isn't an option for me without knee pads. I've tried several sets, but they either slide down or cut circulation off and make your day of detecting miserable. What have you guys found that is comfortable, and works, and hopefully not too heavy? I'm sick of dumping money into them just to toss them aside. Dutchman4
I tried knee pads also and could not get them to stay in place so I ended buying Tactical Pants with built in knee pads and these work very well for me. I use the "G3 Pro Combat Pants with Knee Pads Rip-Stop Tactical Pants Camouflage" from Tactical World Store. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28701-best-knee-pads/#findComment-299093 Share on other sites

Unfortunately I don't think that would work well for the sharp rocks I deal with while detecting Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28701-best-knee-pads/#findComment-299094 Share on other sites
King-Of-Bling
I've gone through the same thing. Spent a small fortune and they slide down or cut the circulation. I've now gone with a sleeve style of knee pad. Don't slide as much , super thick pads and cheap. About $25. flakmagnet
The knee pads pictured below are lightweight, have a hard shell that completely negates any pointy rocks and if the elastic strap adjustments aren't perfect, use some duct tape to keep them in place. I've used them for 20 years and they have always been just right. You can get them at Home Depot or online. 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28701-best-knee-pads/#findComment-299105 Share on other sites
Doc
Gang, Seriously these are the best knee pads EVER! They absolutely do not slip. The reason is because they are jointed. Before I found these I had bought about 7 different pairs from Home Depot. They all sucked. You do not have to buy them from me. Check around I thought I saw some guys closing them out. The company that made them sold out to a big company and the big company requires you to buy 144 at a time. So a lot of little guys quit stocking them and were closing out what stock they had left. https://docsdetecting.com/product/knee-pads-doc-endorsed-best-knee-pads-i-have-ever-used/ Also for those of you that want leg protection and knee pads, sorry I didn't get them with hard caps. it would have driven the price through the ceiling. Look at these Leg-Tecs I invented. These won't slip either but they will not protect your knees like the hard plastic ones above. https://docsdetecting.com/product/leg-gaiter-protection-docs-nugget-stalker-for-metal-detector-w-built-in-knee-pads/ 6 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/28701-best-knee-pads/#findComment-299107 Share on other sites
